1) When did Professional Business Services start their business?

We having been serving the central CT area for over 20 years, since the beginning of 1988.

2) Why should I use a bookkeeping service?

If you are tired of paying for sick, holiday and vacation benefits, employer tax expenses, unemployment, workman's comp and having employees call out when you need them most, then you would benefit from our service.  We can offer you a bookkeeper 40 hours a week, while only paying for the time actually used.

3) What type of businesses do you do bookkeeping/payroll for?

We offer our services mainly for small to medium sized businesses that don't need or want a full time bookkeeper. Our client base consists of Condo Associations, doctors, retail establishments, restaurants, non profit organizations, contractors and many more.

4) Do you charge for a consultation?

No, we offer a free consulation where we review your business needs and set up a fee schedule based on the services that your business decides they would like us to perform.

5) How many employees are there in your company?

We have a very efficient staff of five members.

6) Where do you do the work?

We can either come to your office or we can process all paperwork at our office.  If done at our office, we can have it processed and returned to you within a day or two.

7) Do you have delivery options?

Yes, if you are local, we can drop the paperwork, and if you are not local we can ship through UPS right from our office.  You can also choose to pick up at no cost to you.

8) Can you process my work remotely? 

Yes, for a nominal monthly fee, you can have Quickbooks set it up so that we can log into your computer.  

9) What type of reports do you give to me?

On a monthly basis, after processing bank reconciliations, we can give you a Profit & Loss Statement, a Balance Sheet and any other pertinent reports that you may require.

 10) Do you set up or train in Quickbooks?  

Yes, we can set up your company, chart of accounts, employees, vendors, customers, invoices, etc. as needed and we can also train you or your staff in Quickbooks.  We also do clean up work to get your books to a current status.
